Obituary: Mr. Charles William Lee

 

Mr. Charles William Lee of Slocomb passed away Monday, September 7, 2020 at Flowers Hospital. He was 86.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Malvern Baptist Church with Rev. Hosea Parker officiating and Mark Anderson presenting the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

 The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until service time.

 

 Mr. Lee was born November 30, 1933 in Dale County to the late Marvin and Nell Weed Lee. Charles was a caring husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed being with his family and fishing.

 

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Sarah Lee; daughters: Kathy Skipper (Ronnie), and Vickie Andrews (Joe McCommon); son, Anthony Lee (Ginger); five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Sheppard; brothers, Murray Lee (Jeanette), and Lamar Lee; nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
