ARITON… Mr. Christopher Kyser Wilson, a resident of Ariton, died early Tuesday morning, May 3, 2022, at his home. He was 66.


            The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, May 5, 2022, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel. Private family graveside services will be held at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, near Brundidge, with Reverend Dave Walsh officiating. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.


            Flowers will be accepted.


            Mr. Wilson, son of the late Dewey Kyser Wilson and Twedell Bain Wilson, was a native of Ariton. He was a 1974 Graduate of Ariton High School and attended Auburn University. Mr. Wilson was formerly employed with his family’s bank, Farmers & Merchant’s Bank in Ozark. He owned and operated Show Gun and Pawn in Ozark, co-owner of Kelley’s Barbecue, and was co-owner of the Chateau Motel in Panama City Beach, Florida. Mr. Wilson was a member of the Ariton Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Larry Armstrong.


            Surviving relatives include his four daughters, Morgan Jordan (James), Banks, AL, Lacey Granger (Daniel), Enterprise, Hannah Wilson, Auburn, and Shelby Lujan (Holland), New Jersey; his son, Ryan Wilson (Christian), Ariton; his sister, Amy Lee Armstrong, Panama City, FL; his grandchildren, Jayden Jordan, Dalton Jordan, Layton Jordan, Sawyer Phillips, Liana Granger, Jay Granger, Brigham Wilson, Hadley Wilson, Erica Goodson, Kayleigh Winn, Isabel Lujan, Alandra Lujan, and Jake Lujan.
