   Mr. Claud Jackson King of Newton, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023. He was 98 years old.

   In keeping with his wishes, there are no public services planned for Mr. King. Holman Funeral Home of Ozark has been entrusted with the arrangements.

   Mr. King was born in Newton, Alabama on February 28, 1925. After graduating from Newton High School, Mr. King served in the United States Army during World War II. He went on to graduate from Auburn University. After retiring from Union Carbide, he and Nina returned to Newton. He is predeceased by his parents, Edgar and Alba King; his brothers, Edward and Sam, and his beloved wife, Nina. He is survived by nieces and nephews by whom he was deeply loved and greatly admired.

   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Newton Methodist Church, 209 East King Street, Newton, Alabama 36352.
