Mr. Cleo Cook of Westville, Florida passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021, at the age of 84.

 

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 10, 2021, in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva, Alabama with the Rev. Terry Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the Padgett Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home directing.  Visitation will be held Thursday, September 9,2021 from 6:00p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home.

 

Mr. Cook was born March 29, 1937, in Darlington, Florida to the late Homer and Irene Harrell Cook.  He was a loving husband, father and friend.  He was an honest and hardworking simple man; never knew when to stop.  He liked farming, raising cattle, riding horses, working with his tractor, and spending time with his family and friends.

 

Preceded in death by his parents: Siblings: Lonie Adkison, Earnest Cook, Sis Danley, Willene Adams, LouEllen Adkison, Earlene Goff and Clifford Cook.

 

Survived by  his wife of 63 years: Myrtle Cook, Darlington, FL; three children: Frank Cook, Darlington, FL; Mary Powell, Niceville, FL; Owen Cook (Teresa), Darlington, FL; four grandchildren: Kim Taylor (Greg), Laurel Hill, FL;  Brittany Cook, Defuniak Springs, FL; Melissa Murphy (Caleb), Darlington, FL; and Zack Cook; Darington, FL; five great-grandchildren; Cole Davis, Malia Taylor, Maci Taylor, Benjamyn Murphy and Alice Murphy; three brothers; Mason Cook, Hartford, AL, Bernice Cook (Linda), Darlington, FL; Harlon Cook (Cindy) Darlington, FL and one sister; Minerva Hughes, Darlington, FL.
