Mr. Colon Eugene Spivey, age 80, of Dothan, died Sunday, April 29, 2012.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Raymond Holt officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Level Baptist Church Cemetery near Louisville and Blue Springs, with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

 

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 A.M. Wednesday, May 2, 2012, one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the American Heart Association305 University Dr. Suite 1, Valdosta, GA 31602.

 

Eugene was born September 17, 1931, in Barbour County, and attended school in Louisville, AL. He worked with AAA Cooper Transportation for 15 years.

 

Mr. Spivey is preceded in death by his parents, Colon and Edna Spivey, and his stepson, Lamar Kirkland.

 

Mr. Spivey is survived by his wife, Emma Reeves Kirkland Spivey of Dothan; three daughters, Deborah (Bob) Pillivant, Panama City Beach, FL; Donna (Bruce) Hall, Dothan; Deanna Shelley, Dothan; one son, Greg Spivey, Panama City Beach, FL; one step-son, Bradley (Loretta) Kirkland, one step-daughter, Kathy (Kenny) Traylor, grandchildren, Eric (Jessica) Spivey, Erica SpiveyBreanna Shelley, Melissa (Jeff) Robinson, Kim (Ben) Rosenbaum, Brandon Kirkland, Brittney (Michael) Jordon, Emily (Jake) Murry, Kelsey Traylor. Brandy (Adam) Cooper, Josh Kirkland, great-grandchildren, Emma and Loren, Christopher, Matthew, and Logan, Emily and Haley, Logan and Madyson, Brandy Colt, Ryleigh, Nicholas and Anna Leigh, two sisters, Patricia (Lomax) Robinette and Burlinda (Robert) Walker, sister-in-law, Mandy (Irby) Martin, brother-in-law, William (Mary) Reeves,
