Robert Curtis “Curt” Garrett III, 41, of Abbeville, Alabama passed away Monday, September 25, 2023.

A time of visitation was held at Glover Funeral Home in Eufaula, Alabama on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with funeral services Thursday, September 28, 2023, in the chapel of Glover Funeral Home in Eufaula, Alabama at 2 p.m. with Bro. Jody Hughes officiating and Glover Funeral Home of Eufaula directing. Graveside services to follow at Union Baptist Church (Bowden Road) in Clayton, Alabama. Flowers will be accepted.

He was born July 13, 1982, in Montgomery, Alabama to Robert and Debbie Garrett. In his early years of life he enjoyed playing baseball and football. He was a 2000 graduate of Pike Liberal Arts. He later went on to trade school where he began a career as a talented machinist, metal fabricator, and welder. He devoted his time and talents as a machinist and millwright for eight years at WestRock. He served as a member of the Officer of United Steel Workers Local 1972, as well as on the Board of Directors at Riverview Forest Estates. Curt was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his boys whether it was fishing, watching them play sports, or on the trail hiking.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Leamon Baker; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Baker; paternal grandfather, Robert Curtis Garrett Sr.; and paternal grandmother, Lorene Garrett.

He is survived by his three sons: Josh Garrett, Colt Garrett, and Cash Garrett; his parents Robert Jr. and Debbie Garrett of Abbeville, Alabama; sister, Trudi Miller and brother, Dale Garrett (Eron Garrett). Surviving nephews and nieces include Dillon Caraway, Dalton Caraway, Emma- Grace Caraway, and Peyton Garrett along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was very loved by all.

Ask to serve as pallbearers are Dale Garrett, Gilbert Garrett, Dillon Caraway, Dalton Caraway, Kevin Grubbs, and Chris Wren.
