Mr. Daniel (Danny) H. Grantham of Malvern went home to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 15, 2012 after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer.  He was 58.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, in Malvern Baptist Church with Rev. Hosea Parker officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. Mr. Grantham will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Malvern Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 97, Malvern, AL  36349. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. 

His father, Willie J. Grantham, and his stepfather, Charles H. Booth, Sr, preceded Mr. Grantham in death.

He was born on December 11, 1953 in Houston County, AL to the Mary Frances Grantham Booth and the late Willie J. Grantham.  

Survivors include his mother, Mary Frances Booth of Malvern; one brother:  John “Johnny” W. Grantham (Brenda) of Dothan; three sisters:  Kay Sullivan (Bobby) of Hartford, Mary J. Grantham, and Janice Grantham both of Malvern; several stepbrothers and stepsisters; a very special uncle:  Adrian Campbell; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a host of very special friends.
