Obituary: Mr. Daniel Martin Heath


 


Mr. Daniel Martin Heath of Enterprise passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at The Phoenix at Lake Lanier in Gainesville, GA. He was 87. 


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Enterprise, AL with Rev. Travis Coleman and Dr. Michael Mynatt officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. Burial will follow in the Meadowlawn Cemetery. 


The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until service time. 


In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mr. Heath’s honor to The Hillcrest Baptist Church Acts 1:8 Missions, 500 Alberta St., Enterprise, AL 36330. 


Mr. Heath was born September 20, 1935 in Aiken, SC to the late James Earl Sr. and Phrontis McClain Heath. Daniel was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from the US Postal service after many years. He was a man of faith and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Mr. Heath was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be dearly missed. 


In addition to his parents, siblings: James Earl Heath, Jr.., and Earlene Bennett, all preceded him in death. 


Survivors include, his loving wife of 66 years, Glenda Allen Heath; children: Allen Heath (René), Lansing, MI, and Dana Houston (Ross), Gainesville, GA; grandson, Blake Leuenberger (Ella), Dawsonville, GA; great grandchildren: Jayce and Jaxon Leuenberger; sister, Betty Dye, Augusta, GA, and Mildred Boswell; brother, Lewis Heath; other extended family and friends. 


Serving as pallbearers: Paul Dye, Ken Boswell, Rob Moore, Eric Hughes, Craig Hughes, and Terry Kelley
