ECHO COMMUNITY…. Mr. Danny H. “Boone” Grantham, a resident of the Echo Community, near Ozark, died Saturday evening, February 13, 2021 at his home. He was 75.

            Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 16, 2021 in the Echo United Methodist Church with Reverend Alan Meyer and Reverend Phil Craddock officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the church.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Dale Medical Center, 415 James Street, Ozark, Alabama 36360.

            Mr. Grantham, son of the late Dan Hobson Grantham and Gwendolyn Marr Newman, was a native and lifelong resident of the Echo Community. He was retired as a construction superintendent in commercial construction and a retired farmer. Mr. Grantham was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fox hunting. He was a member of the Echo Men’s Club and was in charge of the Community Garden in Echo. Mr. Grantham was a member of the Echo United Methodist Church.

            Surviving relatives include his wife of forty-three years, Linda Brown Grantham, Echo; daughter, Amanda Grantham Watson (Patrick), Munford, TN; son, Tim Tew (Ashley), Echo; grandchildren, Marli Watson, Kinley Watson, and Kimber Tew; uncles, Frank Newman (Margaret), Kada Newman (Jean), and Lamar Newman (Nina); numerous cousins.

            The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Community Hospice of Dale Medical Center, especially Kathy and Tammy,  for their loving care and kindness shown to them and to Danny.
