OZARK…Mr. Darrell Alan Hopple, a resident of Ozark, died early Tuesday morning, May 2, 2023, in a Dothan hospital. He was 66.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 4, 2023, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. James Kenny officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, between Headland and Dothan. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.


            Mr. Hopple, son of the late George Dexter Hopple and Cartes Spikelmyer, was a native of Lewistown, Pennsylvania and moved to Ozark in 1998. He retired from International Paper Company as a die cut operator. Mr. Hopple enjoyed fishing, especially at Ed Lisenby Lake in Ozark and his Dungeons and Dragons Group at Wiregrass Cards. On Easter weekend April 8, 2023, he accepted Christ as his savior. Mr. Hopple was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Wray and Connie Stine.


            Surviving relatives include his daughter, Danielle Devine (Travis); his son, Noah Hopple (Kittiara), all of Ozark; three sisters, Susan Kenny (James), Mobile, Faye Haulbrick (John), Lewistown, Pennsylvania and Judy Grassmyer, Carlisle, Pennsylvania; a brother, George Hopple, Jr., Lewistown, Pennsylvania; eleven grandchildren, Tukker Watson, Clint Devine, Anna Devine, Carter Devine, Carley Ward, Trey Ward, Raven Ward, Jacob Hughes, Matthew Hopple, Elijah Hughes, and Elizabeth Hopple; best friend, Lucy Clark, Ozark.
