Dennis Michael Goodson, a resident of Dothan, died Friday, April 26, 2019 at Southeast Health. He was 65.

 

Funeral services for Michael will be held at 2 PM Wednesday May 1, 2019 at Memphis Baptist Church with Reverends Jim Tate and Rick Glenn officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the services.

 

Michael was born July 19, 1953 in Ozark, Alabama to the late H. L. and Maxaline Woodham Goodson. He was raised in Ozark and a 1971 graduate of Carroll High School. Michael worked for Wal-Mart as a cashier and greeter and later with the Houston County School system as a substitute teacher. He was a member of Memphis Baptist church where he was a deacon and taught Discipleship Training. Michael was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed his grandchildren and their activities. He was also very social and never met a stranger.

 

Michael is survived by his wife, Tanya Goodson; daughter, Amy Farmer (Lee), Kimberly Peake; grandchildren, Charles Evans, Katelyn Farmer and Mason Farmer; brother, David Goodson and a special aunt, Louise Digraziano.
