OZARK…. Mr. Denny Keener, a resident of Ozark, died late Friday afternoon, June 4, 2021, in Dale Medical Center. He was 82.


            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 7, 2021, in the Westview Memorial Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Matt Sasser officiating. Burial will follow. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Monday at the cemetery.


            Mr. Keener, son of the late Merlin Keener and Inez Leedy Keener, was a native of Pierceton, Indiana. He moved to Ozark in 1979 and was formerly employed with Winn Dixie and Super Sav as a meat cutter. Mr. Keener was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Keener.


            Surviving relatives include his two sons, Kim Keener (Patricia), Ozark and Kerry Keener (Terri), San Antonio, TX; a sister, Sandy Monk (Harvey), Ozark; eight grandchildren, Aryn Bowser (Brent), Michael Keener (Regina), Rachel Keener, Samuel Keener, Nick Keener, Christie Jernigan (Scotty), Randy Mitchell (Lori), and Andy Mitchell; four great-grandchildren, Dixie Wilkerson, Benjamin Bowser, Preston Jernigan, and Peyton McLean (Carson).
