Donald Turner McCleskey, 80, of Cottonwood, Al, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

The family’s wishes were for cremation with a memorial service to be held at a later date.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, he was a son of the late David Pink and Mildred Brown McCleskey. Donald worked as a pressman in the newspaper business prior to his retirement. He is of the Baptist Faith.

Surviving are his wife, Pamela A. Hartigan Jacobs, Cottonwood, AL; two daughters, Linda Dawn McCleskey Mogerman and husband Michael, Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Donna Lyn McCleskey, Wauchula, Fl; two sons, George R. McCleskey, North Ft. Myers, FL and Earl R. McCleskey, Cottonwood, Al; a sister, Dorothy Rowe, Ponce DeLeon, FL; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; his best friends, Guido and Tobi.

Southern Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the McCleskey family.
