Obituary:  Mr. Earnest Boyett

 

Mr. Earnest Boyett of Malvern passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Wesley Manor Nursing Home. He was 87. 

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September19, at Malvern Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Cook officiating and with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing.  

Mr. Boyett was born on June 21, 1926 in Washington County, FL to the late Wilmer and Callie White Boyett. 

In addition to his parents, wife, Dorothy Boyett; son, Larry Boyett; two sisters: Ellen Hart and Mary Evelyn; brother, Leroy Boyett; great-granddaughter, Grace Ann Boyett; and a son-in-law:  Doyle Butler preceded him in death. 

Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Butler, Slocomb; one son, Eugene Boyett, Malvern; a daughter-in-law, Martha Boyett, Malvern; two sisters: Sybil Culpepper, Prattville, and Mary Kathryn Jones, Warsaw, FL; six grandchildren: Tracy Boyett, Stacy Boyett, Connie Mathews, Scotty Butler, Travis Butler, and Nikki Hamby; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
