Eddie Bruce Sheppard, age 71, of Dothan, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021.


Bruce was born August 26, 1949 in Barbour County to the late Samuel Sheppard and Effie Greene Sheppard. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. Bruce enjoyed woodworking, working for over 22 years with House of Cabinetry. He also enjoyed motorcycles and spending time with his family, loving on his grandbabies.


In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by three infant brothers and sisters; his sisters, Gladys Clark, Lillian Mossner, and Hazel Bess; and his brothers, Gerald Sheppard, Talmadge Sheppard, Ralph Sheppard, Brent Sheppard, and Dennis Sheppard.


Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Sheppard; his sons, Jason Sheppard (Tia) and Patrick Sheppard; his daughter, Amanda Williams; his grandchildren, Leslie Scott, Nicole Williams, Deliani Sheppard and Grayson Sheppard; his great-grandchildren, Emberly Scott and Dawson Scott; his sister, Peggy McDonald (Bruce); numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


Funeral services will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 PM until 7 PM, Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.


The family will be receiving flowers or contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758516 Topeka, KS 66675-8516.
