OZARK… Mr. Eddie Buckinger, Jr., a resident of Ozark, died early Thursday evening, April 20, 2023, in Medical Center Enterprise, Enterprise, Alabama. He was 70.

            Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 30, 2023, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.

            Mr. Buckinger was born June 12, 1952, in Montgomery, Alabama and moved to Ozark in 1960. He was a 1971 Graduate of Carroll High School in Ozark. Following graduation, he lived in various locations including Gulfport, Florida where he owned and operated Gulfport Transmission Service. Mr. Buckinger returned to Ozark in 2011. He was preceded in death by his father, William Edward Buckinger, Sr.

            Surviving relatives include his daughter, Angela Renae Kirks (Thomas), Murray, Kentucky; his son, Billy Buckinger (Heather), Ozark; mother, Fay Averett (Ray), Ozark; a sister, Julie Jones (Dale), Ozark; three brothers, Chuck Avrett (Cindy) North Carolina, Mark A (Belinda), Ozark, and Frank Averett (Lynn), Atlanta, Georgia; four grandchildren, Justin Lomaneck, Leann Miron,  Samantha Buckinger, and Eddie Buckinger; four great-grandchildren, Marcus, Madison, Jace, and Colton; nieces and nephews.
