Mr. Ephraim Allen McKenzie, age 87, a resident of Webb, died Wednesday March 9, 2016 in Webb, at the home of his daughter Toni & Allen Alphord.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend’s Jimmy Cook and Charles Spivey officiating.  Burial will follow in the Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery with Kendall Glover directing.

The family will be receiving friends at the Glover Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday.  Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Covenant Care Hospice, 1512 W. Main St., Dothan, AL. 36301.

Mr. McKenzie was born on January 18, 1929 in Swainsboro, Georgia the son of James Luther McKenzie and Rosie L. Henry McKenzie.  He made Webb his permanent residence in 1987 after raising his family in Florida and Georgia.  Mr. McKenzie worked in the tire business all of his adult life and he was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church in Dothan.

He was preceded in death by the Love of his life & mother of his children, wife of 54 years, Polly Imogene McKenzie; 2 sons, Frank Allen McKenzie & Ephraim Allen McKenzie, Jr.; 2 grandsons, Chad Everett McKenzie and Jesse Allen Alphord; 2 sisters & 9 brothers.

Survivors include: Loving & devoted wife, Louise McKenzie, Dothan; 4 daughters, Mary Alice Heath, Marianna, FL.; Lisa Whiddon Crawford (Walter), Cottonwood; Toni Alphord (Allen), Paula Wommack (Gilbert), Uvalda, GA.; 2 sons, Tommy McKenzie (Joyce), Webb; Barry McKenzie (Anisa), Dothan; 19 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jeffery, Michael, Justin, Wesley, Joshua, Levi, Brandon, Eric, Dustin and Caleb. 

Glover Funeral Home of Dothan has been entrusted with the arrangements.
