Obituary:  Mr. Gareth D. Eubanks

 

Mr. Gareth D. Eubanks of Slocomb passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Bonifay Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  He was 75.

 

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Enfinger officiating.  Burial will follow in Hurricane Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 until service time.

 

Mr. Eubanks was born on January 8, 1937 in Geneva County, AL to the late Charlie D. and Thelma Eubanks.  He was a member of Slocomb Church of Christ. 

 

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Eubanks, of Slocomb; one daughter:  Samantha Barr (Michael) of Slocomb; one grandson, Cody Barr of Slocomb; two sisters:  Myra Robinson (Ernie) of Dothan, Ruth Ray (Don) of Fadette; two brothers:  Sam Eubanks and Lawrence Eubanks (Lena) both of Slocomb; several nieces and nephews.
