Mr. Gertis Matlock, Jr., age 81, of Dothan, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2020.
Born February 6, 1939 in Brookland, Texas to the late Gertis Matlock, Sr. and Oren Lowe Matlock, Gertis served his country as an aircraft mechanic in the United States Air Force and enjoyed fishing in his spare time.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Matlock; his son, Rod Matlock (Lori); his grandchildren, Chase Matlock and Aidan Matlock; his great-granddaughter, Emily Matlock; his sister, Nora Campbell; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 22, 2020 from Memory Hill Cemetery with Reverend Bobby Marks officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM until 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.
