Mr. Grady Ray Mixon of Ashford passed away Friday, October 26, 2012. He was 95.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, November 3, 2012, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Woody Farrington and William Stuart McArthur officiating. Burial will follow in Center Baptist Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

 

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. Friday, November 2, 2012. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice, P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, Al 36302.

 

Mr. Mixon was a member of Watermark Church in Ashford. He loved farming, and loved to fish, and play dominoes, but most of all he loved his grandchildren and his family members.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Crawford P. Mixon and Mary Elizabeth McArdle Mixon, his wife, Lois Southerland Mixon, two brothers, and two sons, Charles and Jimmy Mixon.

 

Survivors include daughter, LoRae Worrells and her husband, Larry of Webb; son, Alan Mixon and his wife, Cammy of Ashford; five grandchildren, Chase Mixon, Callie Everett, Michael Worrells, Nathan Mixon, Abigail Mixon, three great-grandchildren, Tabitha Mixon, Haley Ann Everett, Cale Mixon, and several nieces and nephews and other family members.
