Henry Franklin Adams, a resident of Cottonwood, died Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 61.

Funeral services for Mr. Adams will be held at 3 PM Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Calvary Baptist church in cottonwood with Brother John Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 PM until 7 PM Friday evening at the funeral home.

Mr. Adams was born in Donalsonville, Georgia January 19, 1955 to the late Herbert Cleveland and Betty Jean Tindell Adams. He was raised in Cottonwood and at an early age moved to Eastpoint, Florida where he began a career as a shrimper in the seafood industry. Mr. Adams loved to hunt and enjoyed gaming chickens.

Mr. Adams is preceded in death by his parents and a step grandson, Brent Sheffield.

Survivors include a step daughter, Sharon and Buck Sheffield, Statesboro, GA; two step grandchildren; two sisters, Charlotte McCall and Brenda Sanders, both of Cottonwood; two brothers, Cleveland Adams, Dothan and George and Bonnie Adams, Cottonwood.
