Mr. Herman W. McNeal, 87, of Hartford went home to be with Jesus Wednesday, October 31, 2018 following a long illness.

 

Funeral services will be held at Hartford Baptist Church on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will follow at Hartford City Cemetery with Rev. Les Hughes and Rev. Bruce Spivey officiating and under the direction of Jimmy Bottoms of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home.

 

Along with his parents, Reese and Clidie Lee McNeal and a baby brother, Paul, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Delois Gunter McNeal, a son-in-law, Buddy Jones, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

 

Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Susan Jones of China Grove, NC an Janet Bottoms (Mike) of Hartford, AL; three grandchildren, Sherry Wise (Brad), Bo Jones, and Taylor Bottoms (Kacie) three great-grandchildren, Bradon Wise, Jordan Wise and Bo Bottoms; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

 

The family requests flowers be omitted. Memorial contributions can be made to Hartford Baptist Church General Fund, 105 E Burch St, Hartford, AL 36344.

 

A special thank you goes to the staff of Hartford Healthcare for their care and concern during our Daddy’s stay and to his roommate, Hoss.
