Date of Service: A mass of Christian burial will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in St. Columba Catholic Church with Monsignor Patrick Gallagher officiating. Military honors will be rendered in Sunset Memorial Park. Mr. Warrington will be laid to rest in Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, NY.

Howard L. Warrington, Jr., a resident of Midland City, formerly of New York, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday, March 5, 2020. He was 72.


A mass of Christian burial will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in St. Columba Catholic Church with Monsignor Patrick Gallagher officiating. Military honors will be rendered in Sunset Memorial Park. Mr. Warrington will be laid to rest in Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, NY.


Mr. Warrington was born on June 9, 1947 in Long Island, NY and lived the early years of his life there. He was an avid Alabama football fan. He served in the US Army and was a Vietnam Veteran, receiving a Bronze Medal. After his retirement, he served as a flight instructor at Ft. Rucker. Mr. Warrington was a volunteer at St. Columba Catholic Church, where he ministered to the sick in the hospitals.


Mr. Warrington was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Kay Warrington.


Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Bridgette Warrington; his son, Gregory (Erica) Warrington; his daughters, Kathryn Warrington and Elizabeth Warrington; his grandchildren, Olivia Warrington and Madlyn Warrington; his brother, Robert (Pat) Warrington; his sister, Lynn Small; his nieces and nephews, Heather Bobby, Jr., Meghan Small, Eddie Small, and Colleen Small; and his fur babies, Patton and Ollie.
