POST OAK COMMUNITY... Mr. Ira Lewis, a resident of the Post Oak Community, near Ozark, died late Friday evening, June 7, 2019 at his home. He was 58


            Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Monday, June 10, 2019 in First Holy Ground Church with Bro. Robert McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 P.M. Monday at the church.


            Memorial contributions may be made to First Holy Ground Church, c/o, Rick Bright, 211 Private Road 1339, Ozark, AL 36360.


            Mr. Lewis was born June 4, 1961 in Pike County and formerly lived in Roeton before moving to Ozark. He was currently employed with KK Auto Salvage in Ozark and was a member of First Holy Ground Church. Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his father, Ira Hillman Lewis, Sr. and his sister, Teresa Faye Lewis.


            Surviving relatives include his mother, Eloise Overstreet Lewis, Ozark; two sisters, Brenda Lewis and Scarlett Zito, both of Ozark; three brothers, Donald Lewis, Robert Lewis and Rick Bright (Karen), all of Ozark; his special family, Tammy Hudson (Jimmy), Angela Walker (Gary), John Bright (Tiffany), Annette Bright, Misty Hanson (Phil), Krista Henderson (Roy), Gracie “Tooterbug” Henderson, Ben Brookins (Hali), Holly Beaty (Ryan), Terri Brownson, and many other relatives.


            Serving as active pallbearers will be Ben Brookins, David Reynolds, Matt Reynolds, Josh Patterson, Jordan Patterson, and Robert Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Hudson, Gary Walker, John Bright, Henry Marek, Roy Henderson and Phil Hanson.
