Mr. Irby Doyle Clark of Slocomb passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Flowers Hospital after a brief illness.  He was 75.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 15, in Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Byrd officiating.  Burial will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until service time.  The family will be at the home of Edsel and Addie Merle Smith in Slocomb. 

Mr. Clark was born on October 3, 1936 in Houston County, AL to the late Doug and Annie Clark.  He has resided at Baptist Village for seven years.  He was preceded in death by his parents as well as a brother-in-law, Bud Helms. 

Survivors include his brother, James Earl Clark (Hazel) of Lynn Haven, FL; two sisters:  Sarah Helms of Dothan and Addie Merle Smith (Edsel) of Slocomb; several nieces and nephews.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
