Jackie Hughes, 46, of Gordon, Al, died Wednesday, November 9, 2011 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2011 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Gordon, Al with Reverend Dr. John Mouery and Mr. Tony Welch officiating and Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2011 at the church prior to the services.

Mr. Hughes was born in Haines City, Fl a son of the late Gilbert Hughes, Sr. and Bonnie Jane Williams Hughes. Jackie owned and operated Hughes Garage in Gordon, Al and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by a brother, Gilbert (Pee Wee) Hughes, Jr.

Surviving are three sons, Matthew Hughes, Dustin Hughes and Michael Peacock all of Gordon, Al; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, including a special niece Bonnie Hughes Barnhart and a host of extended family and friends that loved him dearly.

Southern Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the Hughes family.
