Jacob Andrew Forrest, 36, of Dothan, Alabama, died Monday, May 18, 2015 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

 

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Memphis Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Tate officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Memphis Baptist Church and at other times will be at the family residence.

 

Flowers are accepted or contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, C/O Memorial Chair: Carol Sloane, 134 Quarles Court, Ozark, Alabama 36360.

 

Born in Columbus, GA, Jacob is a son of Bobby and Glenda Forrest. He was a graduate of Troy State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. He had worked as a firefighter with the Charleston, SC and Summerville, SC Fire Departments prior to becoming a teacher at Ashford Academy in Ashford, Alabama. He is a member of Memphis Baptist Church.

 

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Annie Williams and Bonnie Forrest.

 

Surviving are his wife, Haley Lynn Kirkland Forrest, Dothan, AL; two daughters, Bonnie Joy Forrest and Baylee Sue Forrest both of Dothan, AL; a brother & sister-in law, Josh (Audrey) Forrest, Alabaster, AL; Brother-in-law, John David Kirkland, Tuscaloosa, AL; Nephews, Ben Forrest & Avery Forrest; numerous aunts & uncles; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David & Joy Kirkland.
