OZARK… James Allen Brighton, a resident of Ozark, died early Monday morning, May 16, 2022, at his home. He was 69.


            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 19, 2022, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Albert Skinner officiating. Graveside services, with military honors, will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.


            Mr. Brighton, son of the late William Daniel Brighton and Alta Mae Martin Brighton, was a native of Memphis, Tennessee. He lived in various locations in the United States, while his father served in the United States Navy. Mr. Brighton moved to Ozark in 1968 and was a 1971 Graduate of Carroll High School. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and was retired from Civil Service at Ft. Rucker after thirty-five years of employment.


            Surviving relatives include his wife, Phyllis D. Brighton, Ozark; a daughter, Candace Hudnall (Darin), Skipperville; a son, Patrick D. Brighton (Elizabeth), Dothan; two sisters, Terry Sullivan, Ozark and Judy Fulmar (Hal), Troy; six grandchildren, Dalton Hudnall, Audrey Hudnall, Gerald Hudnall, Alexander Brighton, Lynsey Brighton, Sara Peters, and Brody Peters; several nieces and nephews.
