Mr. James Earl Kelly of Dothan died Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Flowers Hospital. He was 71.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Doug Newsome officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

 

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, April 17, 2012. The family request that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 3054 McGehee Rd, Montgomery, AL 36111, or to the American Heart Association, 305 University Dr. Suite 1, Valdosta, GA 31602.

 

Mr. Kelly was born January 28, 1941, in Houston County Alabama, the son of the late James Horace Kelly and Beatrice Butler Kelly. He worked at Pemco for over 49 years, and loved aviation. Mr. Kelly also served in the US Army.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents.

 

Survivors include his son, David Kelly of Dothan; brothers, Jerry Kelly and his wife, Jane of Taylor; Ken Kelly and his wife, Brenda of Harpersville, AL; several nieces and nephews, and special friends.
