James “Jimmy” Raleigh Knight, Jr., a resident of Wewahitchka, FL and formerly Ashford died Tuesday, March 27, 2012. He was 69.

Graveside services for Mr. Knight will be held at 3 PM Friday March 30, 2012 at Ashford City Cemetery with Pastor Mike Dunn officiating. Memorial services will be held at 11 AM Saturday March 31, 2012 at Dalkeith Baptist Church in Wewahitchka, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dalkeith Baptist Church, 2223 Co Rd 381, Wewahitchka, FL 32465.

Mr. Knight was born in Ashford, AL June 30, 1942 to James Raleigh and Sarah Culbreth Knight, Sr. He was a 1960 graduate of Ashford High School and retired to Wewahitchka 11 years ago and enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. There was nothing more important to Mr. Knight than his family, friends and his church family.

Mr. Knight is survived by his wife, Jorene Knight, Wewahitchka; three daughters, Kelley Iannone, Tampa, FL, Amanda Rodriquez (Joey), Tampa, FL, April Payne (Tony), Dothan; ten grandchildren; sister, Pam Summerford (John); brothers, Jerry Knight (Marsha), Palm Coast, FL, Rodney Knight (Susan), Columbia and Joe Knight (Amy), Slocomb.
