Mr. James Julian (Chief) Somers, a resident of Clio, died early Saturday morning, May 16, 2020.  He was 63 years old.

There are no public services planned for Mr. Somers at this time.

Mr. Somers was born November 27, 1956 in Waukegan, Illinois to the late Walter Carl Somers and Julia Ann Harris Somers. He was an avid fisherman and reader. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lynn Somers; and his brother-in-law, Jimmy Tyler.

Survivors include two sisters, Debbie Tyler of Clio and Abbie Strickland (Joe) of Skipperville; one brother, Carl Somers (Aimee) of Kenosha, Wisconsin; one niece, Katrina Carlisle; and one nephew, Robert Somers.
