Mr. James Talmedge Hinson of Taylor passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the age of 92.


Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Eddie Littlefield officiating. Burial will follow at Taylor Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.


The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 P.M. Wednesday, December 8, 2021. Flowers will be accepted or contributions will be accepted to help with final expenses.


Mr. Hinson was born April 10, 1929 in Malvern, Al to the late Winston Hinson and Eady Branton Hinson.  He was one of the founding fathers of the Taylor Volunteer Fire Department, Council Member and he helped incorporate the Town of Taylor. He worked as an contractor for Supply Chain a Ft. Rucker. Mr. Hinson was a graduate of Rehobeth High School and a member of Taylor Assembly of God.


He is preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Hinson, and son-in-law Robert Taylor.


Survivors include daughters Lana Jean Sizemore (Charles), Tami Taylor, Connie Hinson, son James “Jimmy” Hinson, grandchildren Arthur W. Smith, Mark Jones, great-grandchildren Christopher D. Smith, Arthur J. Smith, special friends Teresa Crews and Sherrell Williams, Kindred Hospice,  special little friends Sarena Sanders, LaMarcus Crews, and fur babies Gabby and Brody.
