Mr. James Wilmer Register of Fadette passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012 at his home.  He was 70.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, in Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Slocomb with Rev. Dennis Singletary and Rev. Adam Habbard officiating.  Burial will follow in New Hinson Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 until service time. 

Mr. Register was born on January 10, 1942 in Fadette, AL to the late Reece and Carolyn Knight Register. 

His parents as well as a brother, Wayne Register, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Janice M. Register, of Fadette; three sons:  Troy Register (Robin) of Birmingham, Kevin Register (Christy), Wesley Register (Beth) both of Slocomb; two sisters:  Myernette Elmore (Harold), Margaret Hundley all of Slocomb; five grandchildren:  Reece Register, Hannah and Dalton Register, Ally and Jackson Register; several nieces and nephews.
