ARITON…Mr. Jeffrey Scott Odom, a resident of Ariton, died late Saturday morning, October 8, 2022, at his home. He was 56.

            Celebration of Life Services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022, at the family residence located at 125 River Road, Ariton, Alabama. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

            Jeffrey, son of the late Curtis and Willene Barrentine Odom, was a native of Okaloosa County, Florida and has lived in Ariton for the past twenty-five years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and working on four-wheel atv’s. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his son, Luther Smith, IV (CPL, United States Marine Corps); daughter-in-law, Angelica Smith; grandson, Preston Smith; brothers, Kenny, Tommy, John, Robert, and Glenn Odom; sisters, Beebee Springer and Glenda Benefield.

            Surviving relatives include his wife, Wanda Faulk Odom, Ariton; daughter, Charlotte Hoover, Champaign, Illinois; son, Justin Knutson, Ariton; grandchildren, Lillian and Vincent Lockhart, Illinois; sisters, Ramona Goolsby, Ariton and Michelle Gordon (James), South Carolina; his caregiver, Robert (Gaynell), Ariton; his beloved dog, Jackie; several nieces and nephews.
