Mr. Jerry Allen Rogers, a resident of Ashford passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013, at home. He was 64.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, February 24, 2013, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Frank Fagan and Thomas Kirkland officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashford City Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 5 P.M. Saturday, February 23, 2013. Flowers will be accepted.

 

Mr. Rogers served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked for Couch Construction as well as Wiregrass Construction.

 

He leaves his wife of 44 years, Elaine Rogers, brother, Charles Rogers, and sister-in-law, Geraldine Rogers. His daughter, Sonya Moore and son-in-law, Kenny, son, Nick Rogers and fiancé, Tamara Oxendine, grandchildren, Chelsea Moore and fiancé, Garrett Gilley, grandsons, Colby Moore, Hunter Rogers, granddaughter, Destiny Rogers, and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Love, Damon Love, Jerry Lynn Watkins, Chad Eubanks, Daron Henry, and Daniel Hooker.
