Jerry William Grimes Sr. of Geneva passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021, in a Pensacola, Florida Hospital. He was 76 years old.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Ronnie Baine officiating. Burial will follow in Leonia Baptist Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Grimes memory to Devco Baptist Church, 1008 Sizemore Hwy, Geneva, AL 36340.

Mr. Grimes was born in Dale County, AL on June 16,1944 to the late Coy Augustus and Katreen Byrd Grimes. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Grimes, one son, Jerry William Grimes, Jr.; one great-granddaughter, Harley Piper Levins :  two brothers; Bailey Grimes and Maurice Grimes.

He is survived by, two daughters Vanessa Birdno (Charles), and Sharon Palmer (Mark Enfinger) all of Geneva; five grandchildren, Daniel Allen O’Keefe (Angel) of Enterprise, Chase Palmer, Billy Bob Palmer, Caleb Kealoha (Denita), and Anela Childs (Brian) all of Geneva; nine great-grandchildren; brother: Jimmy Grimes (Margarette) of Ozark, Al and nephews: Johnny Avant, Clewiston, Fl  and Jeff Grimes of Ozark, Al.
