On Thursday, March 18, 2021, Jessie Gene Armstrong, loving uncle, brother, and son, passed away at the age of 31.
Jessie was born on December 18, 1989 in Dothan, Alabama to Billy and Susan Armstrong. He graduated from Wicksburg High School in 2008, where he then pursued a degree in accounting from Troy University. Jessie was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. He was his niece and nephew’s biggest fan and was a huge part of their lives. Jessie had a passion for woodworking and he was always crafting something. He was also an avid sports fan and competed in many sports while growing up. He also loved being outdoors, especially at the lake or the beach.
Jessie is survived by his father, Billy and his mother, Susan; his brothers, TJ (Jamie) and Steven (Mandi); his niece, Addie; his nephew, Steele; and his beloved dog, Sam.
The family will receive friends from 7 PM until 9 PM, Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home, 2414 Hartford Highway, Dothan, AL 36305. Due to current Covid guidelines, masks are recommended.
To honor Jessie’s love for the outdoors, a remembrance ceremony will be held with family and friends on Saturday, March 27th at 2 PM at Rosemary Beach G Access Walkover, Rosemary Beach, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the charity of your choice.
