Jimmie Lee Moore Sr, a resident of Cottonwood, Alabama died peacefully Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 73.

Funeral Services will be held at 11AM, Friday, January 9, 2024, in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Patterson officiating. Interment will be immediately following the service in Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery with Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 10AM until service times Friday at the funeral home.

Jimme was born to the late Ebbie and Carolyn Wortham Moore in Mississippi on March 8, 1950. He was a simple man who always was aware of appearance, making sure he stayed clean and neat. He loved playing the harmonica, so much that he performed in Nashville, Tennessee. Jimmie was always the life of the party, he never met a stranger and appreciated good conversation. His favorite hobby was fishing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Family always came first in his life. He will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Dora Christine Moore; and a stepdaughter, Annie Landgren.

Survivors include a son, Jimmy Lee Moore Jr (Nicki); a daughter, Bonnie Sue Moore; two stepdaughters, Robbin Wortham (Mark); and Rose Landgren; three brothers, Chester Moore (Gladys), Ronald Moore, and Wayne Moore (Debbie); five sisters, Linda Melton, Nettie Townsell (Loyd), Melba Chandler, Gloria Cunningham, and Elaine Chandler (Bobby); six grandchildren; three special cousins, Bedford Wortham, Sammy Wortham, and Bentford Wortham; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
