Mr. Jimmy Larry Ferguson of Headland passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at the age of 80.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, October 14, 2022 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, October 13, 2022.
Mr. Ferguson was born January 2, 1942 to Hugh Ferguson and Eddie Mae Williams Ferguson.
He was a devoted husband of 58 years to Dorothy Ferguson and and a loving daddy.
He was founder of National Seafood and Fish House in Dothan, and retired from International Paper in Dothan. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, Nascar enthusiast and loved to fluster his sons-in-law about Alabama football. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his greatest joy.
He is preceded in death by his parents Hugh Ferguson and Eddie Mae Ferguson, brothers Raymond Ferguson, Thomas Ferguson and Terry Ferguson.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy Ferguson of Headland, daughters Laurie Thomas (Brad) of Headland. Beverly Clemmons (Greg) of Headland, sons Larry Ferguson (Jennifer) of Cottonwood, grandchildren Deanna Duke (Nick), Colby Thomas, Cheyenne Stewart (Hunter), Chloe Clemmons, Stormi Clemmons, great-grandchildren Brantley and Braylee Thomas, Cami and Cruz Thomas, Annaise Duke, and several nieces and nephews.
