Mr. John Daniel Smith of Geneva, Alabama passed away Thursday, October 09, 2014.  He was 94.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. EST Monday, October 13, 2014 in the Pinecrest Cemetery in Sebring, Florida with Rev. Matt Crawford officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Geneva Saturday, October 11, 2014, from 6 until 8 p.m.

Mr. Smith was born April 15, 1920, in Geneva County, Alabama to the late Hubert and Martha McKnight Smith.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sebring, Florida and retired from Sebring Utilities as a lineman.

In addition to his parents, his wife, Autna Smith, a son, Leroy Smith, as well as six sisters and six brothers preceded him in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Ann (Mike) Brinley of Geneva; one son, Eddie Ray (Bea) Smith of Orlando, FL; eight grandchildren: Chryle Daughtry, Chuck (Beth) Brinley, Dan Brinley, Keith (Leah) Brinley, Suzanne (Kevin) Gilmore, Tresa (Will) Rabchuck, Eddie Smith, Jr., and Benjamin Smith; eight great-grandchildren: Kyle, Jesse and Taylor Gilmore, Ashton Brinley, Shay Daughtry, Mia Smith, Leannah Windham and Emily Smith; several nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
