Obituary: Mr. John “Johnny” Carlton Walker

 

Mr. John “Johnny” Carlton Walker of Slocomb passed away peacefully, Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at his home. He was 57. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb. Burial will follow in the Slocomb City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until service time. 

Mr. Walker was born July 25, 1966 in Montgomery to the late Lamar Walker and Carolyn Sue Carlise Walker. He grew up in Wetumpka with his three brothers, Lamar, Jeff, and Phillip. Johnny moved to Slocomb in 2007 where he met the love of his life, Ethel Marie White, and married December 21, 2013. 

In addition to his parent’s, brother, Phillip Martin Walker preceded him in death. 

Survivors include his wife, Ethel “Sissy” White Walker; sons: William White (Patricia), and Jonathan White (Amanda); grandchildren: Gracelynn, Andrew, Fallyn, Millie, Hannah, and Brantley White; brothers: Lamar Walker, and Jeff Walker; nieces: Katrinia Walker, Mycha Walker, and Catherine McQueen (Wesley); nephews: David Walker (Tanica), and Christopher Walker (Elizabeth); other extended family and friends.
