Johnnie Earl “Coletrain” Ward, Jr., a resident of Dothan, died Sunday, January 14, 2024 at his residence. He was 65.


Memorial services for Johnnie will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, January 17, 2024 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Chaplain Kevin Brannon officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.


Johnnie was born July 22, 1958 in Hartford, Alabama to the late Johnnie and Carolyn Ruth Yeomans Ward. He lived his early years in Hartford and Dothan before travelling around and moving back to Dothan some 30 years ago. Johnnie was a carpenter/handyman by trade and the founding member of the Righteous Rebels Motorcycle club.


He is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, Ben Russ and a brother, Billy Brown..


Survivors include his children, Jason Ward, Sabrina Ward Fletcher ( Jerreth Cumberledge), Aimee Jeanette Ward, Heather Ward Smith (Johnathan), Jackie Ward; sixteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; siblings, Culey Ward (Charlotte), Wayne Ward (Rose Marie), Elton Dale Ward and Tracey Wallace (Danny) and many nieces and nephews.
