Kenneth “Kenny” Leon Dulaney, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, formerly of Illinois, died peacefully Monday, January 29, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family. He was 60.

A Memorial Service and Motorcycle Ride honoring Kenny will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made to his wife, Kendra Dulaney, 709 Ashland Drive, Dothan, Alabama 36301.

Born to the late Harry and Margaret Tackitt Dulaney in Michigan, he lived most of his life in Flora, Illinois. He was a devoted cook for twenty-three years at Niemerg’s Steakhouse in Effingham, Illinois, also working for two years at North American lighting in Flora, Illinois. Two years ago, Kenny and his family relocated to Dothan, Alabama where he worked as a ground keeper for Multi-South Property Management up until his passing, where he gained new friends and thoroughly enjoyed his work. Kenny was always known for his hard work and dependability. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and friend to all. He never met a stranger and could always relate to anyone, always having a good story to tell. Kenny’s attributes were kindhearted, easy going, generous, and patient. On any given day, he could always find a great rock-n-roll song that applied to any situation. Kenny enjoyed precious times with his wife and family, cuddling on the couch with his dog “Mozzie”, and riding his Harley Davidson. His favorite vacations were trips to the beach, where he loved deep-sea fishing, watching sea life, and listening to the waves roll in. He will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bud Tackitt; a sister-in-law, Rosemary Tackitt; a brother-in-law, Lyle Weaver; and a niece, Angela Miller.

Left to cherish his memories is his wife of fourteen years, Kendra Dulaney; two sons, Justin Dulaney (Travis) and Logan Dulaney; three daughters, Emerald York, Megan Beepler (Jason), and Bobbi Dulaney (Benjamin); nine grandchildren, Corbin Rogers, Keagan Gibbons, Lexi Beepler, Madison Dulaney, Journey Beepler, Travis Kelly, Finley York, Eliana York, and India Beepler; a brother, Leslie “Munch” Dulaney (Lynn); four sisters, Sharon Weaver, Elaine Dulaney, Marilyn Harper (Michael); and Carolyn Frank (Bill); numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
