EUFAULA…Mr. Kenneth Thompson, a resident of Eufaula, died Friday morning, March 18, 2022, at his home. He was 78.

            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 22, 2022, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Matt Sasser officiating. Burial will follow in Carroll Cemetery in Ozark. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

            Mr. Thompson, son of the late Ernest Thompson and Ida Belle Simmons Thompson, was a native of Ozark. He moved to Eufaula in 1965 and was formerly as a truck driver with Eufaula Concrete and Gulf Oil Company. One of his favorite pastimes was to go fishing. Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren, Cidney and George Barber, III his siblings, Harold Thompson, Raymond Thompson, Donald Ray Thompson, Aretis Thompson, Linda Thompson, Ernestine Garmon, Otis Thompson, Freddie Thompson, and Paul Thompson.

            Surviving relatives include his children, Vickie Thompson Cawley (Gene), Georgetown, GA, Karen Vukcevik (Eric), Pigeon Forge, TN, Mark Thompson (Kathy), Eufaula, Cindy Griffin (Dale), Georgetown, GA, Jana Dunn, Dothan, Joseph Norris, Tennessee and Katrina Norris, Eufaula; a brother, Arthur Thompson, Ozark; grandchildren, Tommy Floyd (Nicki), Brandon Floyd, Brandi Hale (Danny), Ashley Navarro (Chelsea), Joshua Willsey (Marie),  Cody Willsey (Yana), Chelsea Barber,  Brian Gulledge,  Amberlie Thomas, Joshua Cawley, Allison Cawley, Erin Linn (Aaron); greatgrandchildren, Jonathan Navarro, Elijah Willsey, Peyton Willsey, Harper Hale, Cassius Floyd, Andrew Floyd, Aeris Floyd, Phoebe Floyd, Digi Thomas, Ellae Owens, Iimkae Owens, Chloie, Sabastian, Izick, Waylon, Callie Barber, Ariel Crowe, Brandon Crowe, Nathan Cawley, Rigby Cawley, Elizabeth Willis, and Alyssa Linn.; several nieces and nephews including, Doug Thompson (Barbara), Eufaula.
