Kyle Lang Sandel, 20, of Dothan, Alabama, Passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011 unexpectedly in Tuscaloosa, AL.

A celebration of life service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011 in Clearman Chapel of Southern Heritage Funeral Home with Reverend David Willis, Reverend Dr. Jerry Dooling, Reverend Phil Collins and Mr. John Wagner officiating. Committal services will be held at a later date with Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the funeral home prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tabernacle United Methodist Church building fund, 4205 South Brannon Stand Road, Dothan, Alabama  36305.

Kyle was born in Augusta, Georgia, April 26, 1991, and was a 2009 Graduate of Northview High School. He resided in Tuscaloosa while attending the University of Alabama. He enjoyed times with family and friends, and hobbies included computer gaming, paintball, the beach and camping. He was known for a wonderful sense of humor. Kyle was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by a loving grandmother, Marian Lang.

Surviving are his parents Billy and Lisa Lang Sandel, Dothan, AL; a brother David Sandel, Tuscaloosa, AL; grandparents William and Melverta Sandel, Chapin, SC and Donald Lang, Ridgeway, SC; aunts and uncles Kenny and Celia Sandel, Easley, SC, Don and Susan Lang, Leland, NC, Mike and Carol Webb, Cornelius, NC, and Kevin and Christy Lang, Sullivan’s Island, SC; several cousins also survive.
