EWELL COMMUNITY…Mr. Larry A. McCall, a resident of the Ewell Community, near Ozark, died late Wednesday evening, April 21, 2021 in the emergency room of Dale Medical Center. He was 69.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 1, 2021 in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Stephan Margeson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. McCall, son of the late Roy McCall and Elfreida Walter McCall, was a native of Hartsville, South Carolina. He served in the United States Army prior to moving to Alabama in 1982. Mr. McCall moved to Ozark in 1991 and attended Southside Baptist Church and Faith Christian Center. He was self-employed as a wholesale automobile dealer. Mr. McCall was preceded in death by his siblings, Heidi and Dieter.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Mara M. Balkcom; his children, Ann Marie McCall Cook (Daniel), Jordan McCall, and Angie Shlam (Norman); stepchildren, Shelby Balkcom (Sean Jerrils) and Jessica Grays (Johnny), all of Ozark; niece, Patricia Hurst, Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Josh Shlam, Chelsea Shlam Hyde (J.C.), Trevor Shlam, and Trotter Cook; two great-grandchildren, Jaysea Rayne Hyde and Delaney Hyde; step-grandchildren, RaeLynn Balkcom, Arianna Means, Kaden Means, and Lilith Jerrils.
