Mr. Larry Frankie Cobb Sr., 69 of Cowarts, AL, died Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2012 in Clearman Chapel of Southern Heritage Funeral Home with Reverend Marcus Murdock and Reverend Jay Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Center Baptist Church Cemetery with Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the funeral home and at other times will be at the residence.

Flowers are being accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Center Baptist Church, P.O. Box 120, Webb, AL  36376

Born in Houston County, Alabama, Larry was a son of the late Archie D. and Pauline Kirkland Cobb. He worked in Plant Services with Southeast Alabama Medical Center as a maintenance technician. Larry will be remembered as a hard working, loving Christian man who could bring a smile to anyone’s face.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley Barfield Cobb of the home; three sons, Frankie Cobb, Jr., Jeff Cobb, and Jamie Cobb all of Dothan, AL; two step sons, Lynn Frith, Cowarts, AL and Randy Frith, Montgomery, AL; two daughters, Pam Cobb, Vanwertz, Ohio and Amy Hayes, Kirkwood, Ill.; four brothers, Joe Cobb, James (Alice) Cobb, Terry (Debbie) Cobb and Mike Cobb all of Dothan, AL, four sisters, Paula (Ted) Shingler, Donalsonville, GA, Ruby (Ricky) Creamer, Linda (Warren) Brown, and Barbara (Sonny) Hughes all of Dothan, AL; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Serving as active pallbearers will be his co-workers Todd Hand, Daniel Morrison, Keith Evans, Brad Etheridge, David Senecal and Ben Finch. Honorary pallbearer will be Kathy Saunders.
