Obituary from Holman Funeral Home of Ozark – Ozark, Alabama

 

Mr. Larry Hildon Holland, a resident of Newton, died Wednesday, April 17, 2024. He was 74 years old.

A memorial service will be held for Mr. Holland 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 21, 2024, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Charles Goldsmith officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Sunday from 1:00 P. M. until service time.

Mr. Holland was born May 24, 1949 in Newton, Alabama. He served in the United States Marine Corps which included a tour in Vietnam. Mr. Holland was a carpenter and enjoyed tinkering with anything mechanical. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, loved to collect guns and enjoyed the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lola Merle Martin Holland; one sister, Gayle Brown and one brother, Danny Ray Holland.

Survivors include one son, Lee Holland (Lindsey); two sisters, Connie Paden (Dave) and Shirley Smith; his special friend, Wanda Maxwell; mother of his son, Pat Turner;  grandchildren, Austin Holland (Emily), Emily Mathis (Jordan), Makayla Pinson and Jaxon Pinson; his aunt, Berlie Mims; and his fur-babies, Bella and Termite.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to the Ozark-Dale County Humane Society; P. O. Box 2502, Ozark, Alabama  36361.
