Mr. Larry Jerome Smith, age 63, a resident of Ariton died unexpectedly Friday July 27, 2012 at the Dale Medical Center in Ozark.

 

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday August 2, 2012 in the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Rick Glenn officiating and Kendall Glover directing.

 

Mr. Smith was born on March 28, 1949 in Ozark the son of the late Charlie Fulton Smith and Billie Ruth Williams Smith.  He worked as a carpenter in the construction business and was a lifelong resident of Dale County.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronnie Wayne Smith.

 

Survivors include: daughter, Melanie Michelle Smith,  Plant City, FL.; sister, Nancy Ellis, Ozark; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Diane Smith; Ozark; Denkin Smith, Ozark; Randy and Rea Smith, Brundidge; five grandchildren, Christina Votino, Jessica Reyna, Jessie Reyna, Nia Brown, and Alexis Brown; one great-granddaughter, Layla Votino.
