Mr. Larry Wayne Deese of Wicksburg passed away Monday, March 5, 2012 at Dale Medical Center.  He was 61.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, in Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Slocomb with Rev. Tim Simmons officiating.  Burial will follow in Wicksburg Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. 

Mr. Deese was born on January 20, 1950 in Cottonwood, AL to the late Coley and Mazie Deese. 

Survivors include three sisters, Bernice Deese Riley (David) of Wicksburg, Mildred Drinkwater of Ashford, Emery Hughes of Ozark; one brother:  Edward Eldridge of Chiefland, FL; several nieces and nephews.
